Welcome to the Christmas Lighting Ceremony.
Christmas is a season for us to remember God’s love for us personified in Jesus Christ. It is the time when we celebrate the coming of our Saviour and King, our Immanuel, God With us.
Christmas is a message of hope. It reminds us that there is light for all of us in Christ. The bible says in John 1:5 that light shines in darkness; and the darkness cannot overcome it.
As we turn on the lights tonight on our Christmas tree, may it be a message and reminder of hope for all of us. And may it give us a meaningful reason to celebrate Christmas, that no matter how hard this year has turned out for all of us, there is light at the end of it. Because Christ is born. He is with us. And this is why we celebrate CHRISTMAS.
