
San Antonio bagged Seal of Good Local Governance for the 2nd time.
Out of 1,489 municipalities in the Philippines, San Antonio is one of the 207 select municipalities. Out of 116 municipalities in Region 3, San Antonio is one of the select municipalities. Out of the 13 municipalities of Zambales, San Antonio is one out of the only two municipalities who qualified for this year’s prestigious and highly coveted recognition: the 2018 SEAL OF GOOD LOCAL GOVERNANCE.
The Seal of Good Local Governance symbolizes integrity and good performance of local governments. To be awarded, the municipality needs to comply to all the 7 core elements of the SGLG – Financial Administration, Peace and Order, Social Protection, Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Disaster Preparedness, Environmental Management and Tourism Culture and the Arts.
After Passing the Provincial and Regional validation, a National Validation Team was sent by the Department of Interior and Local Government to assess the Municipal Government last August 13, 2018.
And last November 7, 2018, headed by Hon. Mayor Estela D. Antipolo, MD and Hon. Vice Mayor Lugil S. Ragadio, we formally received the prestigious 2018 Seal of Good Local Governance, one of only 207 Municipalities so recognized in the whole country.
