Municipality of San Antonio, Zambales chosen for Citizen Satisfaction Index System
The Municipal Government of San Antonio, Zambales was chosen by the Dept. Of the Interior and Local Government as one of the 3 pilot municipalities in Region 3 for the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS), a complex tool for measuring the satisfaction of the citizens in the performance of their local government.
The DILG, in partnership with the President Ramon Magsaysay State University then conducted a scientific survey among our local residents, identifying 30 spots distributed to all 14 barangays, without bias on their age, sex, occupation political inclination and income levels. The data gathered then underwent a rigorous analysis before it was presented to the DILG and the Municipal Officials.
THE RESULTS FOR OUR TOWN EXCEEDED EVEN OUR EXPECTATIONS. A
s the CSIS covered all aspects of our governance (Health Services, Support to Education, Governance and Response, Public Works and Infrastructures, Environmental Management, and Economic and Investment Promotion), it is an important tool to measure our Municipal Government’s performance.
We garnered an over-all satisfaction rating of 90%. With a high of 95.45% in Support to Education and a low of 88.19% in Economic and Investment promotion, but very much way above the cut-off of 58%.
This numbers mean that:
1. Our citizens are very much aware of our various programs in every area covered;
2. Our citizens have availed or have used the programs; and
3. Our citizens were satisfied with our services.
These proves that the Municipal Government is focused on all of the aspects that helps the San Antonians achieve a better way of living.
